DeVos Institute of Arts Management at
the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts
While billions of dollars are spent the world over training artists, very little time or resources are devoted to training those that lead arts organizations. The DeVos Institute of Arts Management is focused on helping community arts organizations gain access to world-class professional development while participating with peer institutions from their local community. This program focuses on building core competencies in fundraising, artistic planning, strategic business planning and board development.
Betsy DeVos was convinced of the need for this program, and the Kennedy Center’s unique ability to implement it, during her six years of leadership on the Kennedy Center’s board.
